Adrien Brody stars in H&M’s newly unveiled Wes Anderson-directed Christmas commercial.

The "Moonrise Kingdom" director's involvement in the festive commercial was kept under wraps until the full, almost four-minute short film was released online on Monday, following a debut on U.K. TV on Sunday evening.

The short, entitled "Come Together," features his distinctive style and color palette, reminiscent of his most recent film, "The Grand Budapest Hotel," and stars his frequent collaborator Brody, who worked with him on the 2014 film plus "The Darjeeling Limited" and "Fantastic Mr. Fox."

The advert tells the story of train passengers traveling to meet their loved ones for Christmas. Snowy weather threatens to spoil their plans but the strangers conspire to create a festive surprise.

"This story may resonate more than ever at a time in the world where we could all do with giving a stranger a hug," the actor said in a statement.

All the actors in the video wear clothing from the Swedish retailer’s holiday collection, and the advert’s soundtrack includes versions of "The Little Drummer Boy" and John Lennon's "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)."

"The winter train ride, under Wes Anderson’s direction, is the perfect setting for H&M’s holiday collection full of relaxed, wearable elegance," Pernilla Wohlfahrt, head of design and creative director at H&M, said. "It’s about mixing the informal with a sense of occasion, capturing the holiday mood for both dressing up and getting cozy with loved ones."

This isn't the director's first venture into advertising - he has previously made commercials for American Express, Stella Artois, and more recently, the Prada Candy fragrance.
