WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) Saturday Night Live’s Michael Che and Colin Jost were back at work Wednesday on another mid-week “Weekend Update.”

After covering the Republican National Convention last week, the comedians now set their sights on the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

The 10-minute segment on MSNBC mocked several of the week’s biggest speeches. They opened with shots at Hillary Clinton’s video introduction Tuesday night and its antiquated visual effects.

“You can tell Hillary has been awaiting this moment for so long because that glass-breaking effect is from 1983,” Jost said.

They also hit Bill Clinton for his comments about watching all six “Police Academy” movies in a row with his daughter and vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine for his Spanish-speaking ability.

“When would we ever need your eighth grade Spanish skills?” Che said. “’Hey, Tim. Castro’s on the phone. I can’t make heads or tails of this thing.’”

In a pre-taped segment, they offered folks on the streets of Philadelphia Trump Ice bottled water, to very mixed reactions.

“Don’t let hate change the way you hydrate,” Che said to one woman who refused to take it.
