Will Ferrell has appeared as a hip millennial in a hilarious campaign video for Hillary Clinton.

The footage shows the 49-year-old encouraging young people to vote in the U.S. presidential election on Tuesday, with the actor saying those who don't cast their vote will be shamed as "basic," or "the opposite of on fleek."

Ferrell is the latest celebrity to endorse Democratic nominee Clinton, who shared the clip on social media on Friday.

"I’m Will Ferrell - actor, comedian and typical run-of-the-mill millennial," the "Anchorman" star says at the beginning of the clip while surrounded by teens and twentysomethings. “Looks like you just caught me hanging out with my squad.”

Punching numbers into a flip phone, Ferrell continues, "I just wanted to talk to you directly, one vibrant youth to another. So, let’s all put down our Snapchat, Tinder, Instagram, and other assorted app-based technologies for a minute so we can keep it 100."

Telling his fellow millennials that if they choose not to vote it will be put on public record, he encourages them to get out and be a part of history on Tuesday.

"If you don’t vote, everyone might find out that you’re the opposite of on fleek,” Ferrell says. “Or that you’re basic. Or even worse, that you’ve got no chill. All of this on top of what will be a serious case of FOMO (fear of missing out)."

Amy Schumer released a similar video encouraging people to vote last week, while on Friday night, Jay Z and Beyonce performed for a Get Out the Vote concert in Cleveland alongside Clinton.
