TOMPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WZTV) - Kentucky State Police said more than 5,600 marijuana plants were found in a cornfield in the Bluegrass State.
The Kentucky State Police Cannabis Suppression Branch spotted the plants by aerial observation in a cornfield just outside the city limits of Tompkinsville.
Police said several agencies worked more than 30 hours to eradicate and destroy a total of 5,624 marijuana plants.
No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
