UT Vols back to the drawing board for head coach after public outcry

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — The University of Tennessee Volunteers are going back to the drawing board after the school changed its mind on Greg Schiano following public outcry.

Potential candidates:

Matt Campbell: The Iowa State head coach is still in the mix - though there has been some talk his buyout is too much.

Tee Martin: The Southern Cal offensive coordinator has strong ties to Knoxville after leading the Vols to the 1998 National Championship.

Jim Bob Cooter: The former Vol has developed a nice resume in the NFL and is currently the Detroit Lions offensive coordinator.

Les Miles: The former LSU head coach is currently working as an analyst for the SEC Network.

But, perhaps someone who could get a look from the Vols is still in the days ahead.
